I am a former Physical Education teacher of 6 years who is now coaching soccer full time. I have a bachelors degree from Springfield College in Movement and Sports Studies and a Minor in Health. Playing Experience
Springfield College
NH Men’s League (Div. 1&2)

All sessions are 60 mins long inside or outside. This is for all times of the year.

Missing sessions: After 20min, if a player does not attend a session without notifying the coach prior to the session then the player will be charged for that session. For indoor sessions the coach must be told more then a hour before the session begins otherwise a player is charged because indoor sessions are paid in advance for the space. So if your training is at 7pm, and coach is notified at 6pm or later then the player will be charged.

I look to have every player work on dribbling, passing, and shooting equally during that time. GK would have a similar set up except shooting would be saving (yes goalies need to know how to dribble and pass). I would be teaching different skills in each of the 3 focus areas.

Dribbling: first touch, 1v1 moves, balance, different parts of the foot, awareness, timing, etc.
Passing: first touch, balance, technique, awareness, weight of pass, parts of foot, etc.
Shooting: from the ground, from the air, balance, technique, parts of foot, awareness, power vs. placement (when to decide), reaction, timing, etc.
GK: Position, cutting down the angle, parrying the ball, diving technique, reaction, timing, etc.

Client Reviews

Zach is great!!!!! Very well recommended.

2:1 session with both my girls works great. Very happy with the way the lessons are organized; the instructions/feedback are customized to their individual skill sets.

My son strives to become a better soccer player and Coach Zach is an extremely dedicated and patient coach. He makes my son work hard while still making it a fun experience. Coach Zach has been a tremendous influence on my son. He always looks forward to his training with Coach Zach.

Great knowledge and patience with my son. All around a great coach.

Zach is great! Our daughter really enjoys his coaching style.

Great coach

I highly recommend Coach Zach. Coach Zach has worked with my daughter this summer - with my daughter showing major improvements in the strength & accuracy of her shot & pass & most importantly, her confidence.

Coach Zach has helped me greatly increase my skills while helping me recover from a recent injury before my first collegiate year playing soccer. He has a wide variety of skill development techniques and a wide range of skilled players he can work with. He can coach either college level athletes or youth level players but regardless of your skill level he will challenge you constructively as he has for me. I highly recommend his training sessions for any player looking to increase their technicality as well as game sense.

Great coach. Very good at meeting the needs of a player and helping develop individual aspects of their game. Would absolutely recommend and train with him

Zach did a great job assessing our daughters skill set and targeted areas for improvement. He maximized each session to focus on specific technical and tactical aspects of her game. She felt confident and noticed improvement in her shot and ball movement after the third session. We are looking forward to booking our next series of session with him!

My daughter had her first session with Coach Zach last week, and can't wait to continue working with him.

Great job!!

Awesome first session! Alen liked it very much!
More practice to happen. Waiting for the next session.
Zach is a wonderful coach! Thank you coach!

Coach Zach is awesome!! My daughter was pretty nervous to have a one-on-one trainer but after her first session she couldn’t wait until the next one!! Juggling intimidates her and she never really liked it but after the first session she was practicing like crazy!! Thank you, Coach!!

Great 1st session, Zach was worked hard with Alex through some nasty weather ( just like some games! )
Thanks Zack, we'll see you again!

Coach Zach did a great job engaging and coaching my daughter. Attentive for details and took time to teach techniques to improve her skills. And of course, highly professional and punctual. I couldn’t be happier and I would recommend him without any hesitation.

Zach was exceptional, and really took the time to work with our daughter on her skills!

Great first session with my son. Looking forward to the next one.

Excellent instruction. Nice technical drills. Totally focused on the student every minute of the session. Optimizes session duration - not one minute wasted. My daughter really enjoys the sessions even though they’re tough! Keeps everything positive. Reliable and flexible with time and location options.

Zach does an excellent job at pushing the individual outside their comfort zone and identifying the player’s weaknesses...by doing this it’s allowing her to improve and build confidence...he does a great job with the intensity of his training which equates to “game “ speed training

My son had his 1st session yesterday with Zach and he loved it. He learned a lot about technique and drills to help him improve in soccer. He enjoyed having Zach as a coach.

My son’s confidence increases with every session he has with Coach Zach. I am confident that he is teaching the fundamentals for a great foundation and my son has fun in the process!

First session was so helpful. My son loved his teaching style and can’t wait for his next session!

Daughter has been to a couple sessions and can’t wait for her next one. Great experience so far.

Initial training with Zach was great. Love how he breaks down the drills. In one hour my son got many tips and small corrections that had big benefits to Noah's overall technique, and a great work out. Noah's excited for the next Training. Good stuff.

Coach Zach was an excellent teacher. My son keeps asking when he gets to work with Coach Zach again.

Coach Zack did a great job and pointed out areas that need work, setting up a plan for future sessions.

Coach Zach is a great coach. His soccer knowledge and positive attitude with my daughter makes her keep wanting to come back. She's working so hard during her training and she's enjoying it tremendously! We are so happy we found him!

1st session with Jack and he did a fantastic job with daughter.

Coach Zach is a great coach. He coaches my two sons, (12 and 11) and they both enjoy learning from him. He makes the sessions fun and they both have said that he has helped them improve their skills and taught them new techniques. Their confidence and knowledge of soccer has grown since working with Coach Zach.

My sons experience has been absolutely great. My son plays at a high level and wanted to improve some specific areas and fine tune his overall game. Coach Zach identified emediately the areas for improvement and after 5 sessions we have seen a huge difference in my sons play and confidence, just as important my son enjoys his sessions and is always looking forward to what Zach has in store for him next. Looking forward to many more.

It has been a pleasure to have coach Zach train our boys this summer. We had 6 sessions and can already see a difference in the skill level and confidence in both boys ( 8 and 11) Coach uses positive reinforcement and makes learning skills fun. According to my sons, when they made mistakes in any skill that had been explained in the previous session , coach would repeat the training breaking it down to make it easier for them to get it and reassess their understanding at the end of the session by making them employ that skill. It was interesting for them to have a mix of core training for the majority of the session and still have time for some fun time at the end. We will look for more sessions and highly recommend coach Zach !
Thank you
Tapas and Reshma M

Our 10 year old met Zach today for the first time and has nothing but good things to say about him. She is looking forward to the next session. Thanks Coach Zach :).

Coach Zach is the best! He has helped my family immensely not only on the field but off the field as well. He truly emulates what a good person and a positive role model for boys /kids should be. Can't say enough about him..... :)

Thank you Coach Zach for all you do!!!!!

Great training on both footwork as well as goal keeper. Will definitely book again.

Colin looks forward to his individual sessions each week. Not only does he enjoy the one on one coaching, but he also looks up to you as a coach. Your love of the sport and your dedication to the boys is evident in your approach and coaching style. Colin's game has improved since joining FC Stars this winter, particularly his ball handling skills. In addition, he is learning the importance of being part of a team, which is key in our opinion. Thank you for the time and effort you have dedicated to these boys - this has been a great experience for our young soccer player!

Our experience with you (honest opinion) as Jack’s coach for the past two years was really, really good. It’s the reason we made the move to CFC vs other clubs that are closer to us. You can sometimes pay for premiere but you get PVJSL treatment and coaching. I knew having Jack with you was providing him with top level training with someone that understands what it takes to get kids and a team to the next level. I don’t think I have much feedback for you related to technical training. I think you have a proven format that works and builds strong skillsets with your players. Jack is probably the most skilled player on my PVJSL team due to all of the repetitive training and learning new (and proper) techniques from you. Last, I will say that I have learned a lot just by watching the way you handle your team (so thank you for that). You are really good with the kids and have a real nice way about the way you interact with them and love that you are all about doing things the right way even if it means not winning every game. A true teacher!
Zach has done an amazing job with my son's personal development and, more importantly, the teams for which he has played. Zach has an extreme passion for the game where he offers an incredible amount of additional training and extra scrimmages above and beyond the norm. From a coaching persepctive, Zach integrates a no nonsense expectation of expended effort from the kids that resonates in them wanting to be better for every drill or game. Practices are well run with little wasted time in between any of the drills. He teaches the game of soccer, offering transparent feedback for what went well and what might not have gone so well. All drills are well coordinated with an emphasis on good spacing, field vision, hard passing and timeliness of making that move. In this approach, he builds soccer IQ in those that he coaches that positions them to play at a high level.
Ryan has learned a lot from you and has become a better player thanks to you. He has been more motivated to go into the backyard and shoot or work on foot skills as well. My husband and I have also enjoyed watching you coach and your coaching style really worked for our son.
I really just wanted to say thank you. For the great experience we have had with you as our coach and for all that Sonny and Enzo have learned from you. You have taught them skills that are useful on the field and more importantly off the field. I know Sonny and Enzo really respect what you say as there have been a number of times they will say "Coach Zach said..." I thank you for the positive experience you have given them and for all your time and effort you have given to our team.
Zach: I love your passion for the coaching and the kids and it shows on and off the field. I also want to thank you for the time, effort, and energy that you have put into coaching this team and, in particular, Ryan. Ryan has learned and is learning a lot about soccer, himself, others, and life through you. At the end of the day...that is truly what it is all about.
