A typical session will depend on the athlete's needs. However, My speed and agility workout session is an invigorating and comprehensive routine designed to enhance the athlete's physical performance and help them excel in various athletic activities. The workout will begin with a dynamic warm-up that incorporates a variety of exercises that focus on developing both speed and agility. Exercises like A-skip, B-skip, High Knees, etc... The workout will then continue to the focus of the day. (Speed, Agility, or Plyometric work) All three are vital components of developing a more agile and faster athlete.
On the agility front, my workout session includes a blend of cone drills, lateral movements, and quick direction changes. These drills will help sharpen reflexes, improve balance, and enhance the athlete's ability to change directions rapidly.
On the speed front, my workout session includes flying 30's, 60's, 80's, hills, etc. The focus will be on running mechanics.
On the plyometric front, hurdle mobility, hurdle hops, split squats, etc. The purpose of plyometrics in the context of speed training is to enhance an athlete's explosive power, improve their ability to generate force quickly, and ultimately increase their sprinting speed.
