I work with kids, teenagers and adults. I train and prepare them with the fundamentals necessary to be successful at all positions such as defense, forward and midfield. I specialize in agility, dribbling, first touch, one-on-one, passing, shooting, crossing, penalty kicks, defending, trapping and controlling the ball, corners, goal kicks, set pieces, field awareness, cognitive skills with and without the ball, communication using auditory and non-auditory methods, mental discipline, winning attitude, excellent sportsmanship and conditioning.
My approach to developing players is focused on the needs of the athlete and expands into more sophisticated areas of training as the athlete progresses. My training sessions require movement throughout the entire session with and without the ball. I’m a proponent of developing a players by creating real game like environment for our training sessions. I’m hands all throughout the entire lessons and will encourage the athlete to absorb as much as possible in the time we are together. You, your son, your daughter, will experience a drastic improvement in their level of play.

At 17, Juan Jose Munante, professional soccer player for PUMAS UNAM and right winger for Peru's national team from 1967 to 1978, selected me to play for the fuerzas basicas '3rd division' PUMAS UNAM in Mexico city.
Played for PUMAS USA and won state, regionals, and placed 3rd at Nationals at age 15 playing U17 (1993-1995).
Played for North Huntington Beach Black and won state and regionals at age 16 playing U18
At age 9 made the cut to play for the Club Deportivo Filanbanco's youth team from Guayaquil, Ecuador.
Due to an injury in 1996, I was not able to continue to play competitively however I have been playing in recreational leagues for the past 15 years.
Other sports: Tri-athlete (Running, Cycling and Swimming)

Session plans are tailored to the athlete's needs and will evolve as the athlete progresses. Prior to our first session, I will have learned from the athlete his or her short-term and long-term goals as a soccer player. We will put together a plan to advance the athlete's technical, tactical, physiological, and psychological abilities in order to optimize his or her performance on the pitch.
Below is a soft outline of what a session could entail:
1. Warm-up (full body, technical, and stretch)
2. Begin working on objectives set in the plan for the athlete
3. Conditioning is built into my method of teaching so we will not need to allot specific to this topic. The exercises that I will have you do will require a lot of movement.
4. Cool-down (with or without the ball and stretch)
5. Review the days' objectives and give a brief performance evaluation and provide some soccer related history that supports the athletes' goals.
My goal is the create the right conditions for the athlete to grow and become the soccer star the he or she wants to become.
