As much as some coaches will tell you that fitness is 60% of soccer, I believe that having a good first touch, being able to pass (long and short), being comfortable during the drills, being able to read the game with and without the ball, knowing how to move on and off the ball, and lastly but not least, repetition over and over are just as important. I believe in soccer fitness so the only fitness we will ever do together will involve having the ball as technique is very something that I like. My training sessions would be composed of a good 10-15 min warm up without the ball, a few passing and dribbling drills with possibly some finishing, a little game at the end and a 10 min cool down and stretch. Obviously I will adjust my sessions based upon my player's age and position on the soccer field. I like to be creative so the first 2/3 weeks we might do different passing patterns/drills but we will eventually get back to the same ones as practice makes perfect. Lastly but not least, you can expect me to jump in and work with you during the whole sessions.
