More About Coach Tyler
Hi!
My name is Tyler Delgado and I am a goalkeeper. I grew up playing soccer in Nashville, Tennessee. In my youth age I played with a local soccer club called TSC and played at the highest level, National League. I played 6 years at Trevecca Nazarene University, D2. I coached at TOCA for 1 year where I had the opportunity to coach 1 on 1 with field players and goalkeeper at all levels: youth, collegiate, and professionals. I have been a personal coach since I was 18 years old.
I played soccer at a high level in club. My senior year in high school I received goalkeeper of the year. I played 6 years and started my freshman year until my junior in college during that time I received defensive player of the week several times. After overcoming injuries and surgery I finished playing my 6th with my team to end my soccer career with accomplishments and memories I will never forget.
I think for all levels of players whether it is fields players or goalkeepers should work on the fundamentals of the game. Footwork, conditioning, and speed/agility are core skills I like to incorporate in my training. My players will be challenged and work on all aspect of the game to work on their development. I want to test my players physically and mentally.
The first training will test the players ability to work with and without the ball that will give me a better understanding on what their strengths and weaknesses are. I like to work on fundamentals such as receiving the ball and passing the ball. However, I want to challenge my players to improve these skills so they can improve.
