More About Coach Tom
I have a little over 32 years of Boxing experience. I don't teach a style, it's more a method of winning. Probably be able to teach you a few tricks. It's nicer in the " W " column... Thanks
I'll offer the first session for $55.00 and negotiate the rest after that. Either in single sessions or a package I can fit your budget.
As an amateur I won at the Keystone State Games, Welterweight Division and later Boxed at Penn State University winning the East Coast Welterweight Title.
Professional record of 14-3, NAMA Middleweight Belt.
I work mitts with my fighters and duplicate the mistakes I see in their opponents. Then we can tailor a strategy based on those mistakes in order to break an opponent down and win the fight. If a fighter listens, he/ she may only have to see me once. Training though, should encompass all areas of fighting so realistically:
-Shadow boxing- work on balance, movement, skills 5-10 rounds
-Bag Work- Heavy Bag, Speed Bag, Double End, Bag 5-10 rounds
-Sparring- bring all your floor work into the ring, usually 5-10 rounds depending
-Jump Rope- 5-10 rounds
-Exercises- Combination of standing/ floor exercises specific to boxing
You can never work enough, theres always something to learn. This is an individual sport not a team sport, once you're in the ring or octagon its you and your opponent. Nobody will be there to pick up your slack. You'll always find the responsible person in the mirror.
A fighter needs to spend plenty of time on the road like it or not. This is an endurance sport that requires thinking, not bodybuilding... just saying
