More About Coach Tochanna

I have dedicated the last 6 years to promoting the sport of volleyball, by teaching beginners the fundamentals of volleyball and training experienced players to compete at the highest level and reach their volleyball goals. Many of the players I have trained over the years were beginners to the sport and I have continued to develop those players through the years to advanced level high school and club level players.

Since middle school and high school, I have been a multi-sport athlete. Competing at a varsity level in cross country, track, volleyball, basketball and cheerleading. I also have club playing experience in both basketball and volleyball. I have won multiple team and individual awards, including district championships, area championships, all-tournament teams and all district teams. I chose not to compete at the collegiate level to focus on academics and I graduated with honors from Texas State University with a bachelors degree and the University of Houston-Victoria with my masters. For the past 6 years I have dedicated my spare time to coaching volleyball as a volunteer and at the club level and I am dedicated to growing the sport and helping players reach their volleyball goals.

Small Group Volleyball Training (Experienced Players)
This training will consist of an all skills workout covering passing, digging, hitting, blocking, serving and serve receive. This is a 2 hour intensive workout for experienced volleyball players to improve their individual skills and make them all around better volleyball players. There is a heavy focus on net play, game like drills and maximizing touches with the ball.

Small Group Volleyball Training (Beginners)
This training will consist of an all skills workout covering the fundamentals of passing, serving and hitting. This is a 1 hour workout designed to improve players’ fundamental skills. There is a heavy focus on technique, partner drills and maximizing touches on the ball. Ideal for beginners to intermediate players. Minimum of 3 players and maximum of 6 players per session.

Weekend Warriors (Conditioning and Ball Control Training)
This is a 1.5 hour training session that focusses on improving the volleyball player's athleticism and performance on the court. The drills are designed to improve agility, jumping, quickness, strength and endurance. In addition, there will be partner and individual drills run to improve players technique and ball control. This is an outdoor session.
