I’m a nationally accredited Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist that has trained players in the NFL, NBA, MLB and Premier League, as well as division 1 national champions in multiple sports and elite high school athletes.
I’ve worked for an elite private performance training company, University of Kentucky Football and was also the Director of Strength and Conditioning at St. James Academy in Kansas City.
I specialize in injury prevention, speed/agility training, plyometrics and strength training.
I played and competed in everything I could growing up including football, soccer, baseball, wrestling, powerlifting and rugby. I was going to play football in college but due to injury history, I had to retire and began to focus on the training side of the game.
Full session (movement only)
-Dynamic warm-up
-plyometrics (power development and injury prevention - paired to match our movement theme of the day)
-movement skill acquisition (basics of whatever our emphasis is that day, usually one of acceleration, change of direction or top end speed)
-movement skill integration (now we incorporate the techniques into specific drills designed to improve Rate of Force Development and movement efficiency. These could be resisted sprints, shuffles, bounding, etc. Inefficient movement = more injuries and more plays not made on the field!)
-Free Application (sport specific speed and agility drills that tie it all together)
-Energy system development (this is conditioning, but is based on demand of the sport and current season)
