More About Coach Taylor

I’ve been coaching competitive volleyball for the past 10 years, club, high school and junior college. I’ve coached for ONE volleyball club, HC Synergy, Attack and currently at Xceleration. I’ve coached high school at Encinal and Branham and I currently coach at College of Alameda. I have experience coaching all positions - back row players, front row hitters and setters.

I graduated high school from Bishop O’Dowd in 2012 where we made it to CCS playoffs my junior and senior year. After feeling burnt out I decided not to play in college but ended up missing it so much I played on the club team at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. I moved back home after one year and played at College of Alameda where we made it to playoffs for the first time in school history. My sophomore year at COA I made first team all league. From there I was recruited to play at San Jose State and ended up transferring to play at Cal State East bay for my senior year where we clinched a playoff spot. In all my years of playing I have been mainly a middle blocker but have also been a setter, right side and outside hitter.

Sessions may vary depending on age, experience and desired position practice or skill focus. A general session will include a warm up, ball control skills, passing and hitting focus, and some setting and serving as well as footwork for certain positions/defense/rotations.
