More About Coach Stephen
I currently specialize in training players between the ages of 12 and 18. This often involves training a player for several weeks or months in order to help him or her get ready for tryouts or the upcoming season. I currently hold a US Soccer: Grassroots 11v11 Coaching License. I also hold ISSA personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach certifications.
While in college, I coached elementary and high school soccer players at a number of Cedarville University soccer camps. I also volunteered with Athletes in Action to coach at summer camps in the Dayton, Ohio area. I planned training sessions, designed drills, and delegated responsibilities to other coaches.
College:
Played NCAA DII soccer for 4 years at Cedarville University
Competed in USL League 2 for the Dayton Dutch Lions and the South Carolina United Bantams
2018 and 2019 G-MAC Academic team
High school:
South Carolina 5A All-Region 5 Team
During the first session, I do an assessment to figure out what the player's strengths and weaknesses on the field are. At the end of this session, I work with the player to come up with goals for us to work toward together. Beginning at the next session, I use technical drills and position-specific drills to help the player work toward his or her goals. Regardless of age or ability, I try to keep each session fun and competitive! I usually recommend at least 5 to 10 sessions with a player in order to have time to see significant improvement. While I only train on the weekends currently, I am also available to write skill workouts or strength and conditioning workouts for the athlete to complete during the week.

Coach Stephen was AWESOME!⚽️ My 18-yr old spent 3 weeks training to get ready for fall season in NEPSAC. Coach Stephen worked on everything including first touch, crossing, finishing, sprint speed, fitness, running mechanics and skill work. JR truly enjoyed the training and he is 💯ready for the season to begin. We would recommend coach to anyone looking to improve their game and fitness. We feel lucky that we found him⚽️ Thank you Coach Stephen!!!!
