More About Coach Shawn
I have been coaching in Phoenix for the past four years. My coaching is based on the principles I learned from Gold Medal Squared and my experience as a player. I am currently the Club Director and 16s Coach for Ignite Volleyball Club in North Phoenix.
I enjoy working with players of all ages and skill levels, but I especially enjoy the challenge of coaching 10-16s, because with them I can make the biggest difference in their game with proper form.
I start my sessions with a dynamic warm up, followed by skills, gameplay situations, and lots of repetition. After each session, I want my athlete to feel an immediate, concrete improvement in his or her game. I also utilize various video programs to help the athlete see what they are doing - this gives them immediate visual feedback.

My daughters (I've begun having Coach Shawn work with my younger daughter) and I have no qualms at all in driving the 45 minutes from our home in Mesa to where Coach is located to get lessons as we know that my girls will be challenged to pick up something new and have fun learning and playing the sport they love. My only wish is that Coach Shawn and his club was closer to us!
