More About Coach Shane
As an NASM Certified Personal Trainer with additional certifications in Integrated Speed, Agility & Quickness Training, Integrated Resistance Training, Cardiorespiratory Training for Fitness, and Neuromuscular Stretching, I have experience working with athletes of all ages. However, my primary focus is on coaching individuals aged 7-17. I've had the privilege of interacting with elite athletes at various levels, including junior developmental, elite college, and even Olympians.
My coaching and training expertise cover a broad spectrum, from guiding young athletes as they begin their sports journey to helping elite athletes fine-tune their skills and achieve peak performance. The combination of my NASM certifications and additional training has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to design effective training programs tailored to the unique needs and challenges of each athlete.
Through my experiences, I've gained a deep understanding of the sports training and development process, which allows me to provide comprehensive and targeted coaching to athletes of all levels and ages. My commitment to continuous learning ensures that I stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field, enabling me to offer the best possible guidance to my clients.
I played a variety of sports growing up and continued in my adult life as well. I have been surrounded by Elite Athletes through my work at the United States Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Oklahoma State University and most recently, The University of Texas.
A 60-minute SAQ training session takes place conveniently at your home or a local facility, ensuring a comfortable and familiar environment for optimal learning and growth.
The session kicks off with 10 minutes of stretching and a dynamic warm-up to prepare the body for the dynamic movements ahead. I will then guide participants through 15 minutes of targeted exercises that enhance their understanding of proper mechanics for SAQ. These exercises focus on developing speed, agility, and quickness skills specific to their sport.
The next 15 minutes are dedicated to high-intensity drills that push athletes to display improved performances in speed, agility, and quickness. Through challenging and engaging activities, we aim to elevate their athletic abilities and enhance their on-field or on-court performance.
But it doesn't stop there. I go the extra mile by dedicating the final 20 minutes of each session to teach participants the importance of Strength and Conditioning (S&C) exercises. This critical component focuses on injury prevention, joint stability, muscular strength, and endurance. By incorporating S&C exercises, we help optimize their overall health and athletic performance, setting them up for success in their chosen sport.
