More About Coach Sergej
I have good experience with talented youth soccer players in my homeland Serbia. I usually do U12 maximum, because I want to teach them valuable skills that I have been taught in Serbia by a lot of professional coaches in our country. As, I said I learned set of amazing skills that I think every young player should have and learn right now, because If they learn young, then every next obstacle would be really easy. I worked at professional Soccer Team called “IMT”and also Youth soccer team “Winner”. I also play soccer actively. I am a attacker (winger, striker, center forward) so I teach kids every segment of attacking and improving on those positions. However, I started as a Right-wing back, so everything I learned in Serbia about defending is on a high level, thanks to Serbian professional coaches that guided me to success.
I won a lot of tournaments growing up and I still play at Missouri Baptist University. I also had a debut for a professional team in First Division of Serbian League. With those tournaments that I won I also won several POTY, MOTM, POTT, and also Freshman of the year for 2024 NAIA Soccer. With that award I also got the Honorable Mention in NAIA. My Sophomore year I received First Team All Conference Player and our University won Conference Championship Tournament. I also have records back home about couple tournaments outside of my country like Italy, Greece and Montenegro.
So the typical session would be easy mostly about finishing, positioning your self as a attacker (winger and striker), but also how to help your defense as well. I also really focus on footwork, being one the key pros of unstoppable attack. The training session starts with a small warmup, after that juggling for 5-10 minutes, next is footwork and passes, then I will pass on the knowledge of remarkable positioning, and finally shooting drills to complete all the main parts of a successful attack. *Notice: Of course there will be some training sessions that involve dribbling skills as well, but this is just the raw structure of one session. Trainings will become more complex as player improves.
