More About Coach Sercan

I have played basketball nearly 20 years including at college levels as a scholarship athlete. I have been coaching basketball for the past 15 years, which includes both at the collegiate and high school levels as well as Turkish national team. Currently, I am the head varsity boys basketball coach at Acton-Boxboro Regional High School.

I have worked in many collegiate basketball camps with all ages since 2003. Besides working at collegiate basketball camps, I have been offering 1-on-1 private coaching for over 10 years now. For the past six years, I have been coordinating and running Youth Basketball Skills Camps for ages between 9-18.

I have earned a Region Player of the Year award in Junior College, served as team captain as full scholarship recipient. I have earned five Coach of the Year awards within the last 10 years, including the 2018-19 Massachusetts Basketball Coaches Association Coach of Year award.

I specialize in shooting, footwork, ball handling, rebounding, defensive positioning and many more. Every player is different and every player needs to work on a different set of skills to get better. That is why each session is individualized per the player(s). Good players are also good listeners and get better at every stage of the game.

Every athlete is different by size, ability, age and more. So every session would be different than each other besides basic warm up and stretch to begin the session.
