More About Coach Scott

I have spent several years coaching and developing individualized training programs for amateur, professional and hobbyist athletes. I am certified by USA boxing, licensed in TX as a Boxing corner man and have cornered amateur and professional competitors in Legacy MMA, Bellator as well as boxing and kickboxing events domestically and overseas. I currently work with both amateur and professional competitors in MMA, Boxing and both European and Thai rules kickboxing. I don't believe that the "ideal" method for developing well rounded striking should be confined to any 1 specific discipline, or application. I teach a variety of techniques from western boxing, Dutch kickboxing, Muay Thai as well as from more traditional martial arts (taekwondo, kyokushin karate).

I have competed both as an amateur boxer and professionally under the K1 European circuit in kickboxing. I have coached and trained in both Holland and Thailand. I regularly work with several gyms on developing fight specific training programs for their competitive athletes.

My primary focus is on western boxing combined with elements of both Dutch and traditional Muay Thai. My training sessions aren't scripted and instead are tailored to the individual athlete. I use a combination or pad work, bag work, drills (partner) and sparring (commensurate with the individuals comfort and skill level). I am technician first and my priority is to ensure a safe and physically challenging workout. I believe that teaching proper technique is not only physical but also mental, understanding the "how" is only effective if you understand the "why" and "when". A good training session should incorporate both a physical and knowledge based component.
