I am a midfielder so I work on a lot of technique training. This training is important for any position. Example of a one hour training session:
- [ ] Opening up with right foot and opening up with left foot. Playing into corner of the goal
- [ ] Opening up with right foot and left foot dribbling at cone and turning it and playing it back to me
- [ ] Playing big balls to me at different angles
- [ ] I stand beside the goal and throw the ball for him to header it into the corner
- [ ] I play the ball on the ground into the middle and he puts it in the corner
- [ ] Plays me the ball. I play it back to him, he takes a touch, and strikes it
For each drill we do it for 3 minutes, then 2 minutes, then 1 minute.
