More About Coach Samira
I grew up in Munich, Germany. Due to the close proximity to the Austrian, German and Swiss Alps, I grew up Snowboarding. I have been Snowboarding for over 25 years and I am super passionate about sharing the joy of being in the mountains and about Snowboarding. I have worked as a Snowboard Instructor for ages 3-16 in Austria and Switzerland, and my heart beats for kids and youth sports in general.
I'm a board sports enthusiast and my focus is on all board and endurance sports. I consider myself an elite Snowboarder: I climb mountains on Splitboards, I enjoy finding backcountry routes and Snowboarding in the Park is a passion of mine. I have traveled to Canada, the United States and Switzerland in order to Snowboard at the most prestige resorts in the world.
Unlike many resort schools, I can focus on a personalized approach when teaching Snowboarding skills and techniques. I want to understand the client's goals, ambitions with Snow Sports and their overall athletic background. Safety and being able to Snowboard injury free are the main two aspects I'd like every client of mine to achieve (life is too short!). After one session with me, I want my client to be in a position where he/she can practice on their own time. I also offer filming throughout the session - that way the client and I can view the progress together and discuss what he/she will need to focus on in order to further progress.
