Samantha Prudhomme

I am a pro GK with the Washington Spirit in the NWSL. I have been private training GKs since 2012. I have ran multiple gk camps with my high school (Aliso Niguel HS), University of Southern California women’s soccer camps and assistant coached at Legends fc (so cal) Eugene Timbers FC (Oregon) and capitals timber FC (Oregon). I also have my F, E and C USSF coaching licenses.

I played college at Oregon state university and University of Southern California (Trojans). I started 2 years with OSU, was all pac 12 rookie team and transferred to USC my junior year. Started every year with the Trojans. Won an NCAA national championship in 2016, was PAC 12 gk of the year, 1st team all pac 12, 2nd team all region, All tournament team in the final four, and 4x pac 12 gk of the week. Was drafted by Boston Breakers at pick 31 in the 2017 draft. Started and played 5 games with a record of 1-1-3 and a rookie NWSL record of 3 straight games with shutouts. Played 1 year with Houston dash in 2018 and now with Washington Spirit.

My sessions focus on footwork, technique, and decision making. We will typically do a lot of foot work, handling, diving and movement in compact spaces. Then we will open up to bigger areas to see it players can continue to keep their technique while working in a slightly more game like area. I will then open up to full goal and box size with drills that will require the same technique we worked on but with added game like situations and pressure to develop the technique so that it translates into games.
