More About Coach Ryan

I coached at Coast and Beach Dig, during this time I coached 2 indoor volleyball teams each full club season and 1 additional fall local team each season. In addition, I lead and helped with countless clinics/lessons, focusing on the fundamentals of the sport, and actively giving individual players feedback to advance to the next level. I have coached teams for the follow ages: 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16. I have lead lessons and clinics for ages ranging from 5 to 40+. This large range, has helped me develop a better understanding of how players learn and the best way to explain technique as well as strategy to each individual.

I am IMPACT & SAFESPORT certified by USAVolleyball.

I began playing indoor & beach volleyball in grade school, I was lucky my Mom signed me up that summer! Since then, my passion for the best sport continues to grow, even to this day. Originally from Cleveland, my best friend and I would transition seasonally from indoor to beach to indoor each year. We would play every chance we got, from open gyms to leagues and tournaments. We always wanted to get more reps on the volleyball court! In total I have been playing over 20 years and am currently A-rated player by California Beach Volleyball Association (CBVA).

Each session will depend on the individual athlete, I will reach out to you to gain a better understanding of the athlete's current level, strengths, and weaknesses. This way the session will be tailored to the athlete in order to achieve the best results.

For an introduction to the sport, we would cover a proper warmup and all fundamentals (passing/digging, serving, setting, hitting, court positioning and anticipation).
