More About Coach Ryan

I have six years of experience training players aged as young as four years old up to the age of sixteen. I especially enjoy working with teenagers because I can connect with them very well and have the ability to see the biggest improvement in their games during this time in their lives.

I currently am a professional soccer player playing in Sweden. I have played two full professional seasons during my career so far. I was a four-year starter at George Mason University and the Washington Post's All-Metropolitan Player of the Year in 2007.

I was a member of the United States Under-17 National Team. I am a two-time NSCAA All-American. I was voted Montgomery County Player of the Year in 2007. I was voted to the CAA All-Rookie Team in 2008 and the CAA All-Third Team in 2011.

My sessions consist of a warm-up with the soccer ball, which could include juggling or dribbling exercises to create a comfortable feel with the ball. I would then move on to passing exercises in-between cones to improve their ability to pass in tight spaces with speed. I would repeat similar exercises that focus on this, including dribbling between cones with different parts of the foot. Finally, we would move on to shooting drills at the end of the training session. I would then assess the player's strengths and weaknesses and tailor the next session based on what is best for the player.
