Coach Ron is a great coach. After one session, he taught my daughter the techniques/mechanics in defense and serving. His positive approach in coaching is exceptional. He gave feedback after the session to let us know what improvements are needed to get to the next level. I would recommend Coach Ron.
My name is Eric Palumbo, I have been playing volleyball since 7 years old. I was privileged enough to have Ronnie as my coach for 2 years from ages 14-16. My volleyball career allowed me to play at Springfield College, where I was a 1st team All-American, as well as a National Champion.
Ronnie was hands down one of the best coaches I have ever played for. He is the one that truly taught me how to play at a high competitive level. The way he approaches teaching the necessary skill sets and simple competitiveness that you need has been one of the best experiences I had as a player.
There is not a doubt in my mind that without those couple years with him as a coach I would not have been able to accomplish some of the things that I did in my playing career.
Coach Manliguis is everything you can ask for in a youth volleyball coach. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable and well versed in all facets of the game of volleyball, but he has a passion for helping kids learn and grow as athletes and people, taking the time to get to know his players’ families and personal lives outside of volleyball.
As a 16 year-old playing for Ron on a national level club team, he challenged the team and myself to play the game at the highest level possible, while also holding us to a standard of high maturity and accountability. There was never a day in practice or in tournaments when Coach Manliguis took a day off in making us better and pushing myself and others to their potential.
The most impressive aspect about Coach Manliguis was the resounding effect his coaching had on my career after being coached by him. The skills, knowledge and hard work that he taught me at a young age were things I found to be commonplace while playing at the highest level as a Division I player at Penn State later in my career, making the transition from club volleyball to the college level easier. I would recommend Ron to anyone who wants their son or daughter to get the most out of playing volleyball and growing as an athlete!

Coach Manliguis was responsible for one of the most prolific turnarounds I've ever been a part of in any light.
Ron stepped in and took the reins from our previous coach who legitimately quit on us after multiple meltdowns. Looking back on it now, I don't blame her. Not only were we awful on the court, but we also had some members, including myself, who took the sport and the team as just another recreational activity.
Without a beat he took a team that went 3-19 record, to a Section five championship team in just one full season. Inarguably being his best player in that team, he instilled many values I was able to take with me to the collegiate level at Division 2, Mercyhurst College.
The core messages and values he made permanent through practice scoped the way I prepared myself to be a successful athlete on the court as a player, but now a successful professional in the board room.
For him to be so confident in himself, his processes, as well as the zeal he help us when no one believed in us is the man Ron represents.
He believed in us and coached us into a championship team. Being a part of many bad teams in sports as well as in the professional realm, it's often very difficult to change a culture or a losing environment at all. For him to do it successfully with our team is even more impressive now looking back at it with a decade to marinade on that accomplishment.
Ron's most important message to me as a player was that, nothing of value will come without effort. The harder I worked, the better I'll be in my craft. If you work with Ron, you can expect immediate results. He will squeeze the most out of you through hard work, trusting in the process, and discipline.
Ron Manliguis is a coach that instills his love for the game of volleyball with every player he comes into contact with. My son came up through a volleyball club here in the Rochester, NY area and had the privilege of having Ron as a coach. To quote my son, “Ron is the best coach I have ever had!” and we agree with him. Stephen played from the age of ten through undergrad in college. According to Stephen, Ron instills the fundamentals at a more advanced level that makes the game fundamentally easy, but makes the complex things fundamental as well. Ron is a demanding coach that expects players to give 100% but is not demeaning to his players.. Ron can pull a team together while giving individual attention to each player through his assessment of that player and his talent in seeing a player’s hidden talents and abilities. Ron brings to the game an extensive playing history along with a wealth of experience coaching both girls and boys volleyball. Ron is passionate about the game of volleyball and every player can benefit from his training no matter their present ability or age.
