More About Coach Romaric

For the past 10 years, I have been coaching soccer at a collegiate level with both men’s and women’s soccer programs. This gives me the expertise to coach the younger players with a clear vision of the level they need to achieve in order to play at a collegiate level and beyond in their future. I am currently the head men’s soccer coach at Edgewood College.
Actually, I started coaching at a collegiate level while I was a college student in my junior year.
On top of being a collegiate soccer coach, I am also a strength and conditioning coach. In the past, I have worked with some professional athletes and Olympic athletes. Having gained this experience, I implement sports performance activities in the soccer sessions with my younger players to better equip them.
With my experience, I enjoy working with players of any age (from youth to collegiate players) and contribute to their improvement.

There has only been one constant in my life: Soccer. Growing up, I have played soccer in various ways: club soccer, street soccer, beach soccer, futsal, and school soccer (high school and collegiate).
Growing up in Togo, West Africa, I was coached by a retired professional soccer player teaching me the basics of soccer. When I moved to Pittsburgh PA, I was blessed to play for some great organizations at a high school level, club level, and futsal level. I also have some amazing coaches who became some of my mentors guide me in my life. They have contributed immensely in my coaching career as well.
On top of playing soccer, I also ran track at a high school and collegiate level. This experience gave me a new perspective on improving my fitness on top of my soccer skills in order to excel as a soccer player.

Session Components:

-Performance training: The purpose of performance training is to maximize your physical performance level and minimize your risk of injuries. During our first session, I will provide an assessment to identify any injury risks and prescribe a customized training program unique to each athlete with the purpose of making significant improvements in coordination, balance, muscular strength and endurance, speed, and agility.

-Skills training: The purpose of skills training is to hone the technical (footskills), tactical (position specific), and mental aspects of the game. In skills training, we will identify your specific goals, strengths and weaknesses, and build a specific training program to develop these skills.

My son Nethan really enjoyed with coach Romaric. He is very knowledgable and professional. We really like his style of coaching. Highly recommend!

Coach Ramaric was a great coach for our son Joey. He really keyed in on what Joey was interested and what Joey needed to work on. He listed to Joey and helped him improve his skills, but also helped him improve his confidence.

Coach R gave joe additional videos, etc. to look at so that Joey can practice on his own. Joe really enjoyed his sessions with "Coach"!

Coach Romaric has been training all 4 of our kids ages 15, 13, 9 and 9. They have enjoyed it and learned alot already. He has a great demeanor and provides detailed feedback after each session. Highly recommended!

To-date, my 14-year old son has had 3 sessions with Coach Romaric. He thoroughly enjoys working with Coach Romaric given his coaching style and ability to tailor the workouts to my son’s needs (which are agility, first touch, and dribbling). Coach Romaric brings a wealth of playing and professional coaching experience - it shows in how he has assessed my son’s current skill level, designed drills to work on his improvement areas, and keeping my son engaged (and challenged) during the sessions. Coach Romaric also specializes in athletic conditioning and has been giving my son techniques around warming up, minimizing injury, and appropriately using his body in various situations. My son originally wanted Coach Romaric’s sessions and coaching to keep his skills and conditioning sharp during COVID-19, whereas I’m now seeing that Coach Romaric is going to take my son’s skills to the next level. We are very happy with Coach Romaric and plan to continue using his services over the next few months!
