More About Coach Roberto

My name is Roberto Llamas, I am a goalkeeper coach as well as a professional player. My life revolves around soccer and when I am not playing or training myself, I am trying to grow the community with my knowledge of the game. I bring an advanced knowledge of goalkeeping yet still try to keep the price low because I realize that there are many people hungry for a higher level of the game that they can’t necessarily afford.

With my coaching company, I coach many goalkeepers around the San Francisco Bay Area from levels such as Club Soccer, Developmental Academy, ODP, High School, Junior College, NAIA, NCAA Divisions 1-3, USL League 2, USL League 1, and MLS. My experiences in the USA, Germany, as well as other European countries help make my coaching second to none and the brand is growing at a rapid pace with many people following our content from all over the world and even more reaching out for coaching.

A little bit about myself.. I played two years of college Soccer at Merritt College in Oakland and received Goalkeeper of the Year, Defensive player of the Year, and First Team All-Conference honors. I have experience in multiple countries in Europe (Including Germany, Spain & Malta ) with clubs competing against 1860 Munich and Bayern Munich as well as teams with Europa and Champions League experience. In addition to Europe, in the USA I have trained at the USL Championship and League One level as well as one of the top NPSL clubs in the nation.

Sessions always start with a lengthy warm up. I focus on warming up the legs as well as hands because the modern day Goalkeeper is expected to be able to play well with his/her feet. I usually pick one topic of focus per sessions (for example. Crosses, low dives, high dives, shot stopping, reactions, 1v1’s, distribution, etc.) so we can thoroughly cover the session. I usually start with more simple exercises to try to get the mind working as well as the body and then progress to more in depth/difficult exercises as the session progresses. I always finish my sessions with a recap and any room for questions on what we have worked on to clear up any confusion players may have.

Client Reviews

(no details provided)

Berto (Roberto) is an awesome individual and an even better Keeper instructor. Throughout all the sessions I’ve had with him, he’s always come prepared with new drills and a profound understanding on the material he’s teaching us. He’s very devoted and that translates into the drills and quality of the training sessions.
