Rex H.

As a Lacrosse Coach, started as a Graduate Assistant at DI Navy (Mens). Coached at 2 VA schools for Boys lax (Mt. Vernon and McLean HS). Became a ref for several years (Boys lax). After having two daughters I started coaching Girls lax on various clubs - Ocean County LC (NJ) , NXT (Phila) for several years. I served as HC on both clubs. I coached as AC for DII, Jefferson University. for a year. I am a level I certified lacrosse coach by US Lacrosse.

I played lacrosse on Long Island and was Team Captain, All South Shore, All County for my HS. I was recruited and played for Navy. I was a four year varsity athlete and was selected as Team Captain senior year. I was a long stick (close defense) and face off specialist. I played club lacrosse in Alexandria, VA, Florida, California and Vail Colorado (was in the military so moved around a bit). I won the Vail Shoot out MVP and the Peach State MVP as a midfielder. I played a year professionally for the Baltimore Thunder, (indoor lacrosse).

I talk to the player(s) and see what areas they would like to improve upon (individual or team skills). I do a review of their stick work, foot work and lax IQ. I help build their confidence as their skill level progresses. I use a variety of drills that keep it interesting and works different parts of the game. Every session is individually or group tailored.
