More About Coach Rasheed

I have 4 years experience as a certified USA Boxing coach and 8 years of experience as a competitive boxer. My coaching victories include 2 Golden Gloves State Championship belts, 1 Silver Gloves State Championship belt, 2 Virginia Challenge Championship belts and 1 Azalea Festival Championship belt. My boxers include kids, teens and adults both male and female.

Three-time Junior Olympic state champion for North Carolina. Won over 30 contests as an amateur boxer before graduating from college. As a young boxer, I had the opportunity to compete in over 5 states including North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida and Virginia.

Based on your level of experience, I focus initially on having a solid foundation: footwork, proper form, body mechanics, wrapping hands, and offense/defense. Typically, I begin with a warm up routine before moving into a mixture of cardio exercises, skills training (focus mitts, punching drills, heavy bags, speed bags), strength/endurance training (jump rope, calisthenics, resistance drills) and ending with a cool down session.
