More About Coach Rafa

Rafa Amaya is the former assistant coach at Penn State University for the women's soccer team. Prior to Penn state Amaya served as an assistant coach at Creighton University. A graduate of Liberty University in 2013, Amaya has a decorated history as both a coach and a player. On the pitch, Amaya Jr. was a member of the United States U-17 National Team and went on to earn back-to-back national championships as a midfielder at Tyler Junior College (2009 & 2010). He helped the Apaches post a 41-0-1 record during his two seasons and then he went on to play two seasons at Liberty University. While at Liberty, Amaya Jr. helped the Flames to a Big South conference title and NCAA tournament appearance. After his collegiate career, he went on to play professionally in Colombia for Bogota FC of the Colombian 2nd divison before returning to the state and finished his playing career with Colorado Rapids of the MLS as a reserve player.

Amaya Jr. began his coaching career well before he ended his playing days, as he helped coach the Colorado Storm youth club from 2008-14. With the Storm, Amaya Jr. led the team to regional appearances and state titles.

Every session is tailored to a player's age, playing level, physical condition, and personal goals.
A typical session will have been prepared beforehand in agreement with the client in accordance with their goals, their level, and age.
We can work on anything from basic skills to fancy footwork, field player or gk and any position specific work. We will set goals for overall your development and make sure the sessions get you on the right track to accomplishing those goals.
