More About Coach Preston

I’ve been coaching youth keepers for several years while competing for my Highschool in Edmond, Oklahoma and for the Southlakes Cosmos EA and ECRL (didn’t have an ECNL team). I coach both 1 on 1 and group sessions and love to share my knowledge and passion for this beautiful sport as a player, referee and coach with up-and-coming youth players.

I will be attending Leeds Beckett University soon to both play and earn my EUFA coaching license in England.

I had the opportunity to play at the Dallas Cup in 2023 as well as Nationals for Elite Academy. Made it to State playoffs in High School Soccer. I've had the opportunity to play with and train with some of the best youth players in the US and UK and can share the knowledge I've gained.

Each athlete will get an individual assessment at our first session so we can focus on their specific needs as well as the general needs of the sport and their specific position.

While I specialize in goalkeeper techniques, I can help strengthen the basic skills, ball control and handling, and positional knowledge while on the filed or during set pieces. As a goalkeeper being confident with the feet is as important as shot stopping techniques. Too many keepers forget the importance of foot skills and being the 11th players on the field, and not just a goalkeeper that stays in your box. No matter the position, we will focus on touches in the ball at the start of each session and move into core strength, and technique based on the individual student's current level.

While each session will be tailored to the individual player, in both time and skills/abilities worked on. My goal each session is to strengthen the players current knowledge, focus on overcoming any existing “bad habits” and have them leave every session feeling like they've learned something new and progressed in a key skill.

Parents are welcome to stay and watch practice sessions and can expect a verbal report on their player after each session.
