More About Coach Patrick
I have been coaching athletes for over 5 years. My first taste of coaching came when my receiver coach was late for practice and I took control. I ran thru all the normal drills and even created some of my own. My head coach was so impressed he told me when I graduated from college I would have a job working with him. Fast forward to 2016, I graduated college with a degree in health science and moved back home to open a Strength & Conditioning Business. Ever since I was hired to train multiple high school athletic teams including basketball, baseball, and football. During my stint training the football team I was asked to come on board and become an actual coach. For 3 years I was the JV Defensive Coordinator, Receiver Coach, Defensive Back Coach, and Kick Game Coordinator. I have multiple speed and agility certifications and I am currently studying for National Academy of Sports Medicine: Performance Enhancing Specialist.
One of my greatest accomplishments is beginning my high school career as a bench warmer and finishing as an All County Defensive Back. So I know how it feels to be the underdog and what it takes to become a big fish on your own pond. My senior year I gave up one touch down and that was because of a coverage mistake. I had a couple of small school offers but I still wanted the college experience so I went and walked on at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. A small D1-AA school in Tallahassee, Fl. I gained 30 pounds of muscle in my first semester but my college career was cut short due to HORRIBLE grades. Since then I have became a Teacher and a HUGE advocate for education.
In a session with me a client can expect a warm up like no other which I call Dynamic Movement Prep. We will then go into running mechanics, followed by Agility. During agility I hit every plane of motion and angle a man can think of. We then work on speed, power, and reactive ability which may include hand eye coordination depending on your sport.
