More About Coach Patrick
10+ years coaching track and field with a focus in sprints, sprint relays, and long jump. I have coached numerous All-state level kids and who have gone on to run at all levels of collegiate track and field. I coach for a program that is consistently in the top 5 of Ohio with consistent representation in the sprints at the state level. I come from a science background which helps with understanding the physics and kinesthetic involved with being fast. I can help you with your blocks, block starts, the different phases of acceleration, or all four phases of your long jump (approach, takeoff, in-air-action, and landing). I help make kids faster all spring for an elite high school program. I'm ready to branch out and help others now.
I was an above average track athlete and had an opportunity to run at the collegiate level but chose to continue wearing cleats and a helmet in college. I won some awards here and there, but at the end of the day, my accomplishments don't mean anything to the progress and development of your child.
I do not overload an athlete with volume. Every drill we do has a purpose in developing speed in an athlete. You can't train a race horse the same way you train a work horse. I can offer track sprinting lessons and long jump lessons at multiple levels, from beginner to advanced. I will use video feedback to identify strong points and learning points in a rep and use that video to teach the athlete and monitor progress. I also utilize a lazer timing system that can monitor an athletes speed, again for feedback and data analysis purposes.

Client Reviews
Adam Walters / Olentangy Orange Head T&F Coach (Testimonial)
Since Coach Daugherty has come to our program 6 years ago, our varsity boys track team has consistently had All-State level sprinters, jumpers, and sprint relays. He does a tremendous job with his athletes, being mindful of workload, and teaching the technical aspects of being fast and jumping far. I have no doubt in my mind that any athlete under his direction will become better and achieve higher, as long as they put in the work and effort and trust his coaching.
