More About Coach Olivia
I moved to New York City in 2014 where I trained kids individually, K-8th Grade, and worked for an organization called Asphalt Green and E3 Sports. Asphalt Green is a recreation center in the Tribeca area of New York and I took the time to train the kids that came through daily. Those who worked at E3 Sports would travel to different schools in the area to coordinate different workout plans for the PE program. In 2015, I left New York City and came back to California to continue training kids in soccer, K-12th grade while coaching the intramural women's soccer team for CalState University Bakersfield. As of now, I still train the same age group for soccer along with sports broadcasting / color commentating at CalState University Bakersfield, Men's & Women's Division One Soccer Team.
I started playing soccer at the age of six at AYSO which led to me playing club soccer for Bakersfield Gunners all the way through high school. All four years of high school I was on the Varsity soccer team. Once I finished high school I got recruited to play Division Two soccer at CalState Dominguez Hills. After graduating college I then began playing semi-professionally with the Guardani team in Sao Paulo, Brazil for two years.
The beginning of my sessions start with conditioning, dynamic stretching as a warm-up. I am big on incorporating conditioning into my training sessions for soccer because it is a huge requirement when it comes to be a great player on a soccer team. Next, I move towards foot work and ball drills, the basic fundamentals for the game. Then, I take the time to focus on the direct needs of the child that I am training to make sure they know how to grow moving forward as a player depending on the position that they play on the field. I end my sessions with a stretch and cool down.
