More About Coach Ambersley
Recently retired after an 11 year professional career. The last 2 years I played for Saint Louis FC and coached at Saint Louis Scott Gallagher. I am now the Director of Youth Development for Lou Fusz Soccer Club. I train teams as well as small group training and 1 on 1 personal training. I have been a coach for ten years and have a passion for developing the proper skills for players to maximize their talent.
2001 Gatorade Missouri High School player of the year. NSCAA and Parade All American. U18 and U20 US National Team player. Indiana University 2001-2005. 2001 Big 10 Freshman of the Year. 2001 All American. 2003 and 2004 National Champion. Drafted by FC Dallas in 2006 MLS Draft. 2011 NASL Best XI. 2012 NASL Champion with Tampa Bay Rowdies.
I develop my session with the player in mind. I will improve the player's technical ability through drills that I have done throughout my youth and professional career. My philosophy revolves around ball skills such as passing, shooting, dribbling, and first touch.

Coach Mike was great with my son. He talked to us to see what we thought our son needed to work on and then tailored the workout for him. He showed our son what needed to be done and how to do it and our son responded and worked with Mike very good. We will be following up for more sessions.

Coach Mike was great today. This was our first session. Mike was easy for my daughter to feel comfortable with and had a plan which he adjusted to make the session perfect for her skill level. He was also willing to carve out some time to work on a couple specific requests. Got the feeling that he is definitely interested in making the player better. Players are not always great teachers or coaches. I don't think that applies to Mike. He quickly identified a couple of technical issues that once addressed made a difference. Great experience overall and I would definitely recommend.

Mike was a great choice as a coach for our daughter. After working with her for one session, he focused on the skills where she needed improvement for the remain sessions. Our daughter is a forward, and her ball control and scoring improved dramatically after training with Mike. Highly recommend Mike as a coach.
