More About Coach Miguel
Hi there, I'm Miguel Salazar. I am a former professional soccer player who began playing soccer in Tucson! My soccer journey led me to be a Real Salt Lake MLS Next player, a NCAA Division 1 Athlete, and MLS Combine participant until I ultimately reached my dream of playing professionally.
Following my playing career, I began coaching youth soccer, european soccer club camps, high school soccer, and most recently assisted an NCAA Division 1 men's soccer program.
I joined CoachUp because I aim to contribute to the growth of soccer in the US by helping players of all ages and skill levels succeed. It's exciting to see soccer growing in the US and as a player who has worked through the American system, I'm confident I can pass along all my experience and knowledge to help you become the player you can be!

I will have a conversation with the player/guardian to discuss areas where they feel need improvement, then I will run a general session that will help me identify the skill level of that specific player and places where I feel like I can help them improve. Following that, I will build a plan based on what I've seen to accommodate their needs/abilities at a rate that will help them elevate their game. The plan will cover physical and mental exercises to maximize the trainees' potential. They will be pushed to their limits, the sessions will be challenging, but they will have a great time getting better together.
*Before beginning training sessions, I can also schedule a day where I can go watch a game of my trainee in order to further evaluate him/her for future training sessions.
