More About Coach Micheal
I have been coaching softball for roughly 6 years now. I have several different levels of experience, at the travel ball (3 years), high school (2 years) and collegiate level. During my travel ball and high school coaching, I have worked with hitters, outfields, infielders and catchers working on anything related to softball and performing better. I'm currently the Assistant Softball Coach at Judson University in Elgin, IL. Here I work with hitters, outfielders and infielders on offensive and defensive work, along with a very strong recruiting background. I'm NAIA Champions of Character Certified. I also am an instructor at Chicago Bulls/Sox Academy where I work with Baseball and Softball players of all ages on hitting, slapping, bunting, infield work, outfield work etc. along with teaching the fundamentals during clinics, exposure camps and other various camps. I have been giving private instruction since November of 2012.
I'm previously from the Notre Dame area where I played 14 years of travel and high school baseball. I played 3 years of varsity baseball at our local high school. During my junior/senior year of high school ball I threw out my shoulder and was told to stop playing competitively. From there I grew into coaching and doing stats at the college I attended. Now I've been giving lessons and coaching.
Most sessions would include a variety of things. I don't like doing one specific activity or drill during a lesson, especially for an extended period of time because younger athletes need variety and the same thing can get boring. However, sometimes techniques need to be fixed and the only way to get that done is through repetition but with different drills. How I plan a session is going to come down to what the client needs and the area that needs improvement.

Jim Sarkisian/Attorney at Law (Testimonial)
Mike is a fine example of what a coach of youth sports should be. He spent the time to teach, counsel, and work with each player individually and collectively as a team. I would not hesitate to have Mike coach my daughter again, and believe his skill set will set him above other coaches for years to come.
