More About Coach Michael

The majority of my coaching experience is back in my home country, Australia. I have coached at a local and state representative level for both indoor soccer and 11 vs 11 soccer. I have typically worked with 6-14 year old age groups in both genders.

I have played at a high standard in Australia, representing various state teams and winning major national titles throughout the years. In my early 20's (now 28 years old) I had a 2 year stint playing in the lower leagues in Spain and Switzerland. I finished my playing career recently, in the 2nd division of Australian Professional League.

Based on a 1 hour training session:
1. Start simple and run through the important things which you want to develop/implement as a player. I want to get to know your mindset and what YOU want to achieve in soccer one day!
2. 5 minute warm up and stretch.
3. 10 minute passing drill. Focusing on short/long range passing as well as using both feet.
4. 45 minutes to develop important footwork skills and perfecting technique, real game situations such as 1vs1s and protecting the ball against opponents, ball control, shooting, defending (depending on the position catered to you).
5. Extra 5-10 minutes to give feedback and other advise on improvement process made.
