More About Coach Michael
As a coach I have spent my time with IMG Academy and the University of Tampa club teams. At IMG I coached teams ranging from U10-U12 along with training my own private sessions with U16-17 players specifically in forward play. At the University of Tampa, I have spent 4 years now with the Women's Club Team as well as a year with the Men. My time with the women has seen the team transform from a 2-3-1 team in my first semester as an assistant, to taking over head coach responsibilities and leading them to a National Championship Quarterfinal in 2021 after going 3-0-0 in our group. This being the best individual season either club team has ever managed leaving our women ranked in the Top 25 in the nation amongst competing club teams, a majority of which are Division 1.
As a player I competed in a State Final Championship in HS as well as spending two years playing DIII as a midfielder/forward in NJ. In my second season I earned the #10 and appeared in 20/21 total regular season matches totaling 4 goals and 4 assists. That same season our team qualified for the NJCAA National Championship where we finished ranked #5 in the nation.
I build and cater my session to specifically what you want to train for. With experience at the collegiate level playing Forward and Midfield, I have used my experience coaching at IMG and UT to build lessons that focus on true in game mechanics for these positions.
My sessions typically run 45 minutes to an hour, typically beginning with a true warm up designed by a physical trainer leading into on the ball technical touches. Then, depending on your choice in training I will design a 2-3 drill session where we will intensely work at game like speed so I can provide the best possible experience for your time. I can provide top tier sessions involving but not limited to (Ball Striking, Movement, Long and Short Passing, Stamina, Ball Control, Set Pieces, and Finishing.)

Client Reviews
Elizabeth Allen- DII Forward Cortland (Testimonial)
From personal experience I transferred to UT from a Division I program and played under Coach Mike. Prior to meeting him I started to hate the sport I used to love. Coming and playing for Mike quite literally changed my life. He is a very tactical coach. His vision of the field along with his knowledge of the game is crucial to his coaching philosophy. What I love the most from him as a coach is that he truly listens to his players, takes in what everyone is seeing on the field and works in what his perspective is as well. Aside from games, practices were always uplifting, fun, but intense. The biggest thing anyone would say about Mike is his heart. He cares for his players and treats each and every person with respect. In the end coach made us a family and personally helped me fall back in love with soccer.
Molly Kain- UT Women's Club Soccer (Testimonial)
Mike is amazing coach and person on and off the field. He is someone who pushes you to your full potential, always has your best interest in mind, and is a shoulder to lean on when you need him most. I have never met someone as caring and genuine as Mike. I will forever be grateful to have someone like him in my life, and for the way he increased my passion and love for the game.
Lexi Martinez- UT Women's Club Soccer (Testimonial)
Mike's enthusiasm was something that I never had in a coach. He consistently made me, and my teammates WANT to continue to show up. It didn't matter whether we were just messing around at practice or running sprints, everyone genuinely wanted to be there. Our team would not have been as successful as it was without Mike's enthusiasm, work ethic, and devotion to our team. I appreciate Coach Mike for all he has done, and continues to do, and will do for us as a team. Mike has become family and I couldn't have asked for a better person to be my coach my first year at college!
