More About Coach Megan

I have coached goalkeepers in camp settings at young ages all the way up through high school. My experience as a player at the college and semiprofessional level are great tools that I use to train goalkeepers.

My playing career consisted of me growing up playing for the Colorado Rush where I received State Cup MVP and the Golden Glove award for the Colorado Rush. I also played for the Colorado Rush W-League Team where I played for three years. My college career consisted of me playing for BYU-Hawaii where I was a four year starter and received the Pacific West Conference Goalkeeper of the Year Award during my freshman year along with All Region Second Team.

When it comes to goalkeeping, I am all about the technical aspect. It is important that I get the goalkeepers who I coach to use the correct technique, especially at the younger ages so that good habits are learned. I also am big on the mental toughness of goalkeeping which involves hard work during the entire session. Goalkeeper fitness will be incorporated into the sessions, so that the mental toughness is built. Each session will cover a specific topic, but handling of the ball is essential in every session. I am a believer in soft hands (ability to catch the ball and not spill it).

Megan was great with Avery! She learned a lot of new techniques and drills to work on at home. We look forward to working with Megan more!

Megan did a great job with my 11-year old son who's trying to step-up his goalkeeper game. Thanks, Megan!

Coach Megan is great! She made small changes in my technique which made a huge difference in the type of saves I was able to make. She is doing great things to help me get back to playing before tryouts!

Coach Megan is a great coach! I booked a session with her for my 14 year old son who is on his JV soccer team at the high school and needs to work on his goalie skills. Coach Megan was wonderful working with him and really knows her stuff! If you are looking for a skilled Coach that is positive and great with training Megan is it!

Both my daughter and I were very impressed with Coach Megan. My daughter had her first session today, she learned a new basic goalkeeping technique as well as worked on a few things she needs to improve. Megan had great drills, pushed her to challenge herself but did not over exhaust her. She left tired but felt like she learned a lot and improved in a couple of areas. We will be booking Megan again and look forward to working with her more.

Coach Megan was great! She provided excellent fundamental training for my 11-year-old daughter who is just starting as a keeper. I would definitely recommend her to anyone seeking one-on-one keeper training.

My daughter has been working with Coach Megan for 4 sessions and she loves it, she is learning alot also. She can't wait for more! Thanks for all your time.

Megan is a true student of the game. She worked on fundamentals, position and some strategy in a quick 2 hour session to help our daughter prepare for upcoming tryouts. My daughter liked her a lot and even went home to look up some of Megan's collegiate games...she was impressed. My daughter doesn't impress easily and has worked with olympic level gymnastic coaches in her previous sport so that say something. Can't wait for the next session to work off some of the other rough edges.

Although my son has only had one session with Megan thus far, I am truly impressed. My son had been sidelined for many months due to an injury, and the purpose of the training was to help him quickly prepare for tryouts and regain confidence. Megan took this task to heart. She arrived early, got right to work, covered as many essential goalkeeping skills as possible, provided valuable feedback, and was compassionate about the injury. Probably more important than my observations is the fact that my son asked me to schedule more sessions.

Coach Megan has been great with my daughter. She has helped her with lots of skills.
