More About Coach Max

Hello! My name is Max and I am goalkeeper. I have experience coaching age groups from 8+ to high school athletes. I have coached goalkeepers from recreational levels, travel and high school goalkeepers.

Goalkeeper in Division 1 NCSL for MSC United 2009-2012, Walter Johnson HS 2009-2012 (State Finalists 2011), Salisbury University 2013 (NCAA III Tournament), Montgomery College 2014 (MDJUCCO III Regional Champions).

Starting off by focusing on the fundamentals of goalkeeping. Footwork, speed & agility, ball handling and positioning are all crucial to having a dominating presence in goal. Trainings will start off by short warm ups, working in foot work, speed and agility, and ball handling drills to the warm up. After warm up, we would move on to shot stopping with footwork integrated in. Then we could move onto a variety of different drills focusing on different aspects of the game (crosses, one on ones, penalties, distribution, reflexes, positioning etc...) depending on the players needs.
