In my sessions, I focus on creating a balance between players' tactical intelligence and technical skills. I’m a big believer in practicing how you play, which means I prioritize recreating game scenarios. This approach ensures that players work on the skills they actually need in a real match.
I start each session with a warm-up, involving light physical activity followed by dynamic stretching to prepare players for the drills ahead. Then, we move into skill drills, focusing on techniques that are essential for game situations—like passing under pressure, dribbling in tight spaces, and controlling the ball.
A significant part of my sessions is dedicated to tactical practice. I design drills that mirror real-game situations, such as transitions, defensive positioning, and offensive strategies. During these drills, I emphasize decision-making and teamwork, making sure that players understand the "why" behind their actions.
If needed, I also include conditioning exercises to improve the player's endurance, strength, or speed. These exercises are specifically tailored to meet each player’s individual needs, helping them perform at their best throughout a game.
To finish the session, I lead a cool-down with light activity and stretching to promote recovery.
My overall goal is to ensure that players are prepared mentally, technically, and physically for the demands of a real game. Every drill and exercise is designed with that purpose in mind.
