More About Coach Matt

Coming from a multi-sport background coach Matt has 20 plus years of extensive coaching and mentoring experience. Coach Matt has been involved in sports such as football, baseball, soccer, wrestling, basketball, and track and field. Coach Matt learned from speed and agility from multiple world class sprinters and coaches that allowed him to excel and earn a collegiate scholarship in football as a running back at Fresno State University in Fresno, California. Coach Matt has brought forward his experience and expertise to those in youth and collegiate levels. Coach Matt main objective for all sports is to improve speed, agility, explosiveness, and mentoring from his life experience and as a collegiate athlete. Coach Matt can also bring those objectives towards specified individual sports to obtain the desired outcome for his clients.

Coach Matt began his coaching during his time in college, giving back to the youth and to his community has always been close to his heart. Coach Matt was part of his high school’s track and field coaching staff in 2002. Also, during this time, he coached 1-on-1 soccer for youth. While being a part of the Fresno State Football team he would be a part of various football clinics that the college put on for the community. Coach Matt has also coached kids’ youth soccer teams starting at the age of 4 to the age of 16. He has also assisted in coaching youth basketball and baseball. Coach Matt has been involved in all these various sports but along with the teaching the individual skills of a specific sport he adds in all that he has learned in speed and agility training. The purpose of his program is to not only teach the skills of a sport, but when you add in the speed and agility type of training it helps to accelerate those individual sport skills to a whole new level to give an individual the advantage over the competition.

Coach Matt is dedicated to the athletes in a way that isn’t just transactional. Coach Matt offers his experience in mentoring in having been in athletics his whole life and fighting through adversity that comes along with it. Coach Matt will be there every step of the way day or night to be there for the athlete in support to help aid in the building of mental toughness, positive attitude, and work ethic that it takes one to excel in the sport and the goals set forward by the athlete.

Olympic Soccer Development Program as a teen youth. All League, All City, ESPN player of the week as a High School Running Back. All League, All City High School Soccer player. All League, All city High School Track and Field Athlete in the 100m and 4x100m relay. California State meet competitor in the 4x100m relay. All city high school athlete of the year 2001. Scholarship Running Back at Fresno State University 2001-2005. Played against top competition such as Wisconsin, Oregon, Oregon State, USC, Kansas State, Michigan State, UCLA, Virginia, and Boise State.

My training program utilizes speed technique, running mechanics, weight training that is specifically designed for speed enhancement and plyometrics training. These components are then combined with new and innovative training methods, tailored to the individual athlete and the events in which they compete. I provide a rigorous and enjoyable training environment that helps our athletes to develop character, maintain their composure, and excel in competition on and off the field. My mission is to create individualized training programs that allow athletes to achieve their ultimate goals in athletic competition to again elite status. My mission is to provide training programs that help athletes sharpen skills, increase strength, think clearer, and outperform the competition. My training program is designed for the needs of each individual athlete into account his/her, body type and physical fitness. my goal is to transform athletes into elite competitors on and off the field.
