More About Coach Mark
My experience as a coach began in Newcastle, England, UK. I began coaching U9 Boys at the same club where, current Southampton FC and former Blackburn Rovers and Newcastle United Football Club player, Adam Armstrong began his playing career. I then had the opportunity to coach goalkeepers with Middlesbrough Football Club for ages U8 - U13 at one of their development centers. I have also spent time at Newcastle United Football Club as the assistant to an academy coach who was also researching coaching methods/behaviours for a PhD. I have a bachelors degree in Sports Coaching and various industry qualifications from both the UK and the USA. I also have coaching experience with Chicago Fire Football Club and Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club.

As a goalkeeper, I played semi-professionally for both my university and my hometown. I have also played amateur football having received league runner-up medals and various cup accolades.
Session structure encompasses all aspects including Technical/Tactical (TETA), Psychological, Physical and Social. Practice sessions are totally designed around the player and his/her needs. All activities are designed to best fit the needs of each player and generally with a pre-session discussion, those can be determined to create the best possible environment for autonomous learning.

Mark started with the fundamentals and did a great job of communicating. We plan on doing his 6 week goalie training program in the next 3 weeks. Very encouraging and asks questions on how the player thinks about various positioning and ball control subjects and then makes adjustments where necessary.

Coach Mark is wonderful with both my kids (daughter, 7, and son, 10). My son wasn't initially sure if he was going to enjoy soccer but he loves it now. My daughter sort of knew she would enjoy it, and she loves it even more now! Coach Mark is patient with both kids and understands where each are developmentally. He practices drills specific to each of their skill levels and has a way to keep them engaged throughout the lesson. He's very positive and encouraging (which is great to keep the kids motivated). I do appreciate that he gives the kids homework as well and really pushes them to practice on their own. Both my kids are learning at a tremendous pace.
