More About Coach Marko
I have five years of coaching and training experience. I have coached with the Rochester Rhinos at the u-14 and u-15 levels and with NCFC at the u-16 level. I currently have a U.S. soccer E license and I am currently striving to earn my D license. From a personal training standpoint, I have been doing self-employed training sessions with children ranged from 11 to 22 for roughly four years now. I can work with any age group but, I prefer athletes over the age of twelve.
I am currently participating at Liberty University's Men's soccer program. I am the captain of the team and I have been included in the all-conference first team for the past two seasons, player of the year nominee, two time all virginia first team, as well as leading assistmen. I also played at Louisburg college where I received all-conference first team as well as all-region honors. Last summer I trained with North Carolina FC's professional USL League One team.
We would start with a warm-up, then depending on what the athlete wanted to improve we would start with the skill itself focusing on the technique and the different nuances that are important to the technique. The next drill would be a drill that slowly progresses into a semi-game speed exercise that allows the athlete to be able to do the technique at a relative speed. From there depending how the athlete is progressing we would go into a more game realistic exercise. Finally we would do a low impact technical drill to cool down like soccer tennis or juggling mixed in with stretching.
