More About Coach Marissa
I have trained and coached my two younger sisters. I was the head coach for 2 seasons coaching 14 and under girls softball. I was also an assistant coach for a 16 and under tournament softball team. I am currently the head coach of the Sugar Land Pride 14u tournament softball team.
Played Division I softball at the University of Houston as a short stop. After two years, my collegiate career was cut short due to a shoulder injury. In high school, I was a two sport letter man in softball and basketball. In softball, I was Offensive Player of the Year during all four years of high school. I also made First Team All-District during my junior and senior year. I played tournament softball from age 6-18, and was recruited to play Division I softball my senior year of high school.
Focus on mechanics of hitting, fielding and base running. Will tailor drills to skill level and focus areas. Will evaluate where a player is at and where they want to be. Will also focus on the mental part of the game which is just as important as physical attributes.
