More About Coach Mario

Ran Captain's Practices for University of La Verne during the summer of 2014. NCAA rule does not allow coaches to train teams during the summer so I took on the responsibility to run training sessions consisting of possession drills, offense vs. defense, shooting, dribbling, and basic passing.

18 years of experience -- Positions: Forward, Winger, Attacking/Defensive Center Mid

• Freedom FC (Captain) 2008-09
• LAFC Cosmos Premier Team 2009-10
• Arsenal FC Premier Team 2010-2013
• Walnut High School Varsity (MVP, Most Valuable Offensive Player, First Team All-League, First Team All-Area, Hall of Fame, Top Scorer, League Champions) 2010-2013
• University of La Verne Men's Soccer Team (Captain) 2013-2015

Warm-ups are essential to a productive training session. As a player I always hated warming up because I wanted to get right into ball work. However, as I got older I began to realize the benefits of stretching and warming up properly. A good warm-up sets the pace to a good performance.

1. Warm-up & Stretch
2. First Touch/Ball Work
3. Passing at game speed
4. Shooting and/or position specific work
5. Conditioning

Client Reviews

Coach Mario is a great coach. Mario was quick in determining my sons needs, and he already has a plan in place to get my son to the next level. Thanks Mario!

Coach Mario is an excellent coach and has lots of experience in getting to the next level. My son enjoyed his session and is very excited to do more sessions. Thanks Coach!

Right off the bat it was exactly what my daughter needed, footwork. He explained why they were doing certain drills and what they are used for. We can't wait for our next lesson.

I learned a lot from Mario. As my captain at the University of La Verne, he helped lead the team by example and always took training seriously which caused a sort of ripple effect throughout the team. At our highest points he made sure we knew there was still room for improvement, and at our lowest points he helped pick us back up and get back to our game. Overall, he is a very supportive and critical leader. With his experience, he has a lot to offer.
