More About Coach Manfredi
I have 4 years international coaching experience developing young players knowledge and technique in the art of soccer. My motivation as been training young people of all ages and also fine tuning athletes of high caliber for various professional leagues. My work as a coach has primarily been in soccer clinics all over Eastern Europe, however my base as a coach has been formed all over Italy because of my own personal career as a soccer professional. My industry certifications include a diploma from UEFA-B the highest organization in international soccer and also obtain a certification from the Association of Italian Coaches of Soccer. Generally the ages I work with are 8 to 18 because of its high potential of learning, however I believe from my experience that age is never a factor in improving a person soccer abilities.
My athletic accomplishments include playing at a professional level at a very young age. I was also chosen to play for Lazio at the age of 15 for their developmental program where I was then picked up by Ivrea caclcio a second division soccer team in north Italy. In Ivrea was when I won my first championship and it gained me the attention of Catanzaro Calcio which has a long story and tradition in developing soccer players. Thanks to the fact that I played professional soccer for the next ten years while pursuing my interested in coaching I was able to gain a better understanding of what it takes to be a effective professional coach. The lessons I have learned within those 10 years have given me the ability to coach and develop other soccer players.
My philosophy in training a developing soccer player first of all depends on the young players needs. This need is then translated in a session, which will be different depending on various factors. The ultimate goal is to guarantee a players full involvement and enjoyment, which will then lead to better soccer player. Are first session will involve me better knowing the players as an individual. After this, I then will start a training session catered to the specific needs of the individual.
10-Min: Warm up
10-Min: Coordination exercises with the ball
20-Min: Base Technique (Passing, Stopping, Dribbling, Scoring)
15-Min: Playing versus the coach we apply the technique in match situations. 5-Min: Cool Down
This training regimen will slowly built confidence and endurance in the students ability to play a highly skills match. From my experience with other students and also with my own career the more you train the better prepared you will be in future match situations.
