More About Coach Malcolm
Played football 4 years for Oregon state and ran track for 2. I have 5+years of experience of training athletes of all levels; Professional, college athletes, adults, high school, and youth. I specialize in speed training, strength and conditioning, body control, mobility, and sport specific movements. I am currently the head strength and conditioning coach for John Muir High school in Pasadena. I also coached track last year at Gabrielino high school in san Gabriel. My first year as the head sprints coach I lead them to a league championship. We will see what this year has in store.
Played football for 4 years while on a full ride scholarship at Oregon State university, and also ran track for 2. I started all 4 years on special teams as our Kick off return man, and also played some Defensive back. In high school I was named league MVP my sophomore, junior, and senior year. Coming out of high school I was ranked as the nations #11 all purpose running back.
Every one of my training sessions begin with essential movements such as; mini band warm ups to strengthen hips and glutes, a dynamic warm up to prepare the body for the upcoming movements, and plyometrics to increase power, and also teach the body the correct way to jump and land. After going over the basic essential movements, the rest of the training session will be specifically based on the athletes needs. each athlete will become very familiar with top level speed, power, and total body control. I encourage my athletes to come to each training session with an open mind and positive attitude, so that they will get the best out of our time together.
