More About Coach M'Kayl

I have coached four Summers at Preston Goldfarb's Excellence Through Fundamentals Soccer Camp. At this camp I coached all ages from 8-18. I gained experience at ODP Girls Region camp, in the Summer of 2012 for three weeks. Lastly, I have completed two full seasons at Homewood Soccer Club coaching the U9 age group. l have my "E" Coaching License. I coached a team that won the Alabama State Cup Fall 2015.

I played for Odyssey Soccer Club in Dallas, TX in which we competed in Lake Highlands division 2. I moved to Birmingham, AL to play at Birmingham-Southern College where I was team captain for the 2013 seasons and a conference champion in 2012. I earned defensive MVP in 2013.

After warm up, I usually plan on getting touches on the ball by putting the player through dribbling and individual move exercises. Next we continue working on touch by passing/trapping. Then the skills session becomes more specific to the players needs by working out position specific skills. Lastly, I like to end with fitness drills.

Coach M'Kayl does a great job teaching the fundamentals of soccer in a fun way that keeps the athlete engaged and wanting to learn more. She provides a great learning environment where the athlete learns by instructions, drills and interacting with Coach M'Kayl. She also provides soccer tactics and position specific instruction. My child has had a great experience learning soccer from Coach M'Kayl and I am sure yours will too.
