More About Coach Luke
I have coached soccer to children aged 3 up to 18 of all different skill levels, both here in the US and also in the UK since around the age of 16. I also have FA coaching badges and work for Maestro soccer coaching academy over here in NJ.
I played semi-professional soccer in England for 3 years. I played for Whyteleafe, Redhill F.C and most recently Lingfield. Whilst playing at this level I had the privilege of playing in the FA cup qualifying rounds. In terms of coaching I have worked for Crystal Palace in the UK (they are a professional soccer club located in south east London). Whilst working for Crystal Palace I worked within a scheme set up called "Kickz" which targeted the more disadvantaged areas of London and included planning coaching sessions and various tournaments. Over here in the US, I have worked for US Sports institute and Maestro (where I still work now). I also graduated from university with a degree in sport and exercise science which included coaching modules.
We would go through a warm up which would relate to the skill we were working on that session. I'd then speak to the athlete about what we were going to do next and how it relates to a game situation, giving a demonstration if needed. After the demonstration I would watch the athlete practicing the skill, stopping him/her to give feedback whenever I felt necessary.

Client Reviews
Alex / Previously worked together at Crystal Palace in the UK and currently an SOC Team Co-ordinator at London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games. (Testimonial)
I have known Luke for a number of years now (since 2010). We first met when I was working for Crystal Palace FC Foundation in the Croydon area where Luke was a regular participant. Luke is a naturally gifted sportsman and always showed a keen interest his own personal development as well as assisting myself and the other coaches in delivering sessions to his peers and the younger participants. An intelligent, caring and approachable individual, Luke is an excellent role model and was (and I am sure still is) somebody who those in his community clearly looked up to. Even in his youth, fitness and helping others were clearly both very important to Luke. In terms of future potential I would certainly class him as one of the stand-out young individuals I worked with during my time at Crystal Palace FC. To that end, Luke was one of the few participants our cadre of coaches earmarked to attend football tournaments (regionally and nationally) and be offered opportunities for first unpaid and then paid work within both our as well as other local organisations. As alluded to earlier, I believe Luke’s motivation to succeed in coaching is unquestionable and would most likely be unrivalled. Somebody with such a natural gift and passion for sport coupled with an insatiable desire to help others is an obvious choice for a profession such as coaching. From what I have been privileged enough to observe, Luke’s contribution to his local community and the community of Crystal Palace FC Foundation has been outstanding. I am sure that these are not isolated incidents and that these sentiments would be echoed by anybody who knows him well.
