More About Coach Logan

2 years Head Varsity Coach experience. In my second season running the program, I improved the team from an 8th place finish, to a 4th place finish, where we qualified for the post season and played the #2 team in state to a competitive 1-2 loss. 5+ years coaching adult men and women, many with collegiate playing experience and some with semi-professional playing experience. 1 year coaching u14. I've coached personal training sessions for over 4 years. I use Uno by Playermaker which tracks a lot of data like touches, kicking velocity, work rate, speed, etc to help gage sessions and growth. CPR certified, Grassroots coaching certification, safe sport certified, first aid certified. Last year I helped save an athletes life who went into cardiac arrest during a practice.

Post college: Central Texas Lobos- semi-professional team, competed against USL 2 teams, got into US Open Cup.
Current Portland Premier division squad- league has players that played D1, some with professional and semi professional playing experience.
Won several different adult recreation leagues in various forms: full field outdoor, 7v7 outdoor, indoor soccer and futsal.
College: 2012 Captain of Lone Star Community College, played club at Stephen F Austin in 2011. Won indoor intramurals at Texas State University in 2015.

I utilize a framework of getting 1,000 touches on the ball per session. I use the Uno by Playermaker data tracker to view things like touches, duration on ball, right vs left leg usage as well as lots of physicality data points like speed and distance. I take a player centric approach and build sessions based around player performance, position, and goals. I design my session to progress in their physicality with the end of the session being the most demanding. Usually the begins are more symplicistic and then by the end the drills are more game like. One bonus with working with me is that I am still young and an active player so I can actually demonstrate proper actions.

Logan is a game changer. Her ability to make some simple changes to the way I think about my approach to the ball and game has given me more confidence and abilities I had lost. Logan is a creative and dynamic coach, tailoring drills to my individual SWOT analysis / pre session questionnaire and providing feedback throughout the session so that I got the most out of each exercise. I appreciated her communication throughout the session, presenting examples of times during game play that the exercises related to. I felt that Logan took the time to create a plan that focused on my goals for improvement, which made it challenging but also fun! She also suggest some drills to practice at home, so I can continue to improve in my desired areas. Would definitely recommend!!
As a former Captain of a D2 college soccer program winning 2x conference champions and personally receiving a second team all region award, I appreciate Logan's eye for the game. She reads the game well, and understand where to focus effort and energy to have the most impact. We often go out for small sessions and knock the ball around and focus on one or two things a session for greatest impact. Highly recommend her for all things soccer!
