More About Coach Logan
I started my coaching career while playing in college, and have been coaching in some capacity ever since. I have coached teams at all levels from 7-19 years old, in Minnesota, North Carolina, Virginia, South Carolina, Florida, Germany, Northern Ireland, and Austria. I was also the Director of Left Foot Coaching Academy (the largest private soccer training facility in Minnesota) for 3 years. I have my National Youth Certification, as well as my USSF National C license.
In 2001, I was the North Carolina high school player of the year - I was the captain of an undefeated team that won the 3-A State Championship (Asheville High) - I was awarded all-american honors - and I represented North Carolina in the state all-star games. I played college soccer at UNC-Asheville, and continued my playing career after college with the Charlotte Eagles. Shortly thereafter, I was transferred to Minnesota United - and then I was transferred to TSV Grolland (Bremen, Germany), where I finished my playing career.
My session plans are specific to my client's needs. Most of my training is in a one-on-one environment where I facilitate growth through four major aspects of the game: ball control, ball striking, aerial control, and last-but-not-least agility/balance. My curriculum is based on a series of progressions. Thus, no matter where your player is coming in to my training - I will begin my sessions at the necessary progression. What you can expect from me: First I will have a session dedicated to player assessment. Once completed, I will share videos - timelines - and expectations to the player's legal guardian. I offer 10, 15, or 20 session packages thereafter. The reason for this structure, is because I need to know how long I have with the given player to accurately establish goals/provide expectations of growth. My sessions are 1 hour each visit. I also offer a "game visit" add-on, if you would like me to attend a player's game - and offer feedback/after-game instruction.
