More About Coach Lisa

I've been playing this amazing sport for 15 years and coaching for 7 years. I've worked with athletes of different ages, ranging from 10-21 years old and varying levels of play. Such levels range from high school, club (regional and national) and collegiate. I've worked at volleyball clubs such as Alpha Gamma VBC (1year), Legacy Volleyball Club (4years) & All Star Empire Volleyball Club (2018-present).
I've also coached at the collegiate level at College of New Rochelle (NCAA Div III) and Monroe College (NJCAA Div I & III)

I am currently CAP I certified by USA Volleyball, as well as CPR/FirstAid certified.

Between the years 2008-2011, I was ranked as #6 in the setters' leaderboard in my college region.
As an incoming freshman, I was voted in as the only freshman captain on my team, which I maintained throughout my years as a college player. I played at Lehman College (NCAA DIII) and Legacy Women's National Team (GEVA).
Awards earned :
-Rookie of the year (2008)
-Most Valuable Player (2009)

During a typical session, athletes can expect to be challenged mentally and physically. You have the opportunity to learn and progress at your own pace. Your environment will be safe & comfortable, yet intense. After each session, you will leave a more skilled and knowledgeable player, as you will have tons of feedback from myself. Sessions will typically focus on proper form (footwork, hand position, etc.). I am a firm believer in HIGH REPETITIONS, so athletes will have a lot of contact with the ball, as it assists with consistency. You can also expect the use of video breakdown. When the athlete can see what he/she is doing correctly or incorrectly, it becomes easier for them to make adjustments to improve. When meeting with an athlete for the first time, it starts with a brief conversation in order to pinpoint what their goals are, what their level is (beginner vs. experienced) and their physical ability. From that point on, a plan is designed based on those elements.
